Explanation

  • A reward (noun) is something of value that's given to a person as thanks or recognition for something they've done.

    To reward (verb) someone is to give them a reward.
  • 名詞の reward は、その人が行ったことに対する感謝や評価として与えられる、価値のあるもの、つまり、報酬のことです。

    動詞の reward は、報酬を与える、という意味です。

  1. In order to improve network security, the company is offering a $100,000 reward to any hacker who can successfully log into the network.
  2. The company rewarded Mark for his excellent suggestion with a check for $500.
  3. In a merit system, higher performing workers are rewarded by getting promoted more quickly.
