Greetings!

Here's something you already know: talking with others is a big part of doing business. In fact, if this weren't true, there'd be little need for WordMaster@Work, wouldn't there? And as talk comes in many flavors and colors, were going to take a little time this week to sample a few with you.

Now, let's begin with the obvious!

Explanation

  • To talk business is to discuss work or other important matters with a client, colleague, etc.
  • talk business は、取引先や同僚などと、仕事やその他の重要な事柄について話し合う、という意味です。

  1. Come on, do we have to talk business now? This is a party.
  2. Allen isn't very good at socializing. He'd always prefer to be talking business.
  3. a: I have a few questions about the Peterson account.
