- To try your hand at something is to try to do it for the first time.
- 何かについて try your hand at と言うと、初めてのことに挑戦してみる、手を出す、という意味です。
- If I'm ever laid off, I think I'd like to try my hand at carpentry.
- Have you ever thought about trying your hand at golf?
- Marilyn's decided to try her hand at running her own business. I hope she can make a go of it.
