Hello!
After reading today's WordMaster, you might ask yourself what on earth the meaning of this expression has to do with baseball (which is played in a ballpark). Well, it seems to come from the fact that baseballs are rarely hit out of the ballpark. So, although you don't know exactly where the ball will land, you do know the range of possibilities. Got it?

- (equipment repair shop on phone with customer)
If I had to make a ballpark estimate, I'd say the repairs will cost you about $80. But I can't be sure until you bring it in. - Can you give me a ballpark figure for how much this vase is worth?
- a: Guess how much we had to pay to change our flights.
b: $200?
a: That's not even in the ballpark. They charged us $800!!
